You can scour the internet for thousands of ideas or just read Crafty Crow and she will do it for you. Last week she shared an idea from a Bulgarian blog found here. I was immediately inspired. Partially because this is what my front entrance has looked like since Christmas:
This was a project that took the kids and I the entire weekend plus one day to complete, but it was completely worth it considering almost everything was free and now my front entrance looks like this:
The process:
Cut apart egg cartons. There are two ways to do this. One way cuts out the center of the carton (see above picture) |
The other way to cut the carton leaves the centers so that you can use them to make daffodils. (see above and below.) |
These two parts are made by cutting the two different ways and putting them together. |

We also cut out long strips of the egg carton and rolled it to make roses. |
