Bead Pets - Product Review and Giveaway

I just reached 1,000 facebook fans!  I am so super excited.  I thought it would be awesome to do my first giveaway after reaching such an exciting milestone for me in my blogging experience!

Have you heard of Kid Craft?  It is a company that has many crafting products for children for sale and available at Walmart as well as an awesome website full of crafting ideas.  We received a fun Bead Pets package earlier this month free of charge from craftprojectideas.com for a review and giveaway and have had a fun time with this product.
From the Kids Craft website:

Made by Me™ Bead Pets are the perfect project for an afternoon indoors for children of all ages. Thread and weave 12 Bead Pets Projects using the included pony beads and other supplies. Make your own monkey, gecko, puppy, kitten. ladybug, spider, chick, butterfly, frog, penguin, dragonfly or bunny design that you can attach to a key chain clip and hang on your backpack!

How awesome is it to get one product for such a small price and be able to make 12 different things with it.  This would be really fun to do at a birthday party with older children or entertain one little one for several rainy days!

My children were all super excited to put a bead pet on their backpacks and coats.  With my younger children I had to do the entire project for them to avoid frustration.

My 7 year old was the only one able to actually do the work, although it was necessary for me to help her almost every step of the way in doing her first animal.

I was a bit worried that I would have to help her with each one, but the next day she came to me with a second pet made all by herself without any help starting it at all.  I did have to tie and finish it for her.  My son really wanted to be able to do this on his own, but at 5 years old, he wasn't ready for that yet.  The package says for ages 6 up so my kids seem to be typical in their abilities.

How would you like to win a free bead pets package? You will receive everything you need for your child to make 12 bead pets.  The retail value of this product is approximately $9.97

Just leave one comment telling me who you will give this gift to and what animal you think they will want to make first as well as your email so I can get back to you.
This giveaway will end on Wednesday, November 30th at 12am (EST.)  A winner will be randomly selected shortly after and notified by e-mail.  By entering, you are agreeing to these official rules.

This giveaway is open to U.S. residents only (so sorry to my international readers).

Good Luck

  16. Love it!

My kids love playing with beads. Even the oldest, a boy, still likes it as long as it's something boyish. We've never had one of these sets but I think 3 out of 4 are now old enough to do them.

If I win, I would give it to all 4 of my kids to enjoy. Ages 10,7, 5, & 3. (Hopefully one of the older 3 would be kind enough to make at least one for the 3yr old and that's how she'd get to receive it as well. LOL )
