Cardboard box space ship

I ordered some bottles for a kitchen project I am working on.  When the box came in the mail James could not contain his excitement.  As the UPS man walked up the path with the delivery James was jumping up and down asking if he could have the box.

After I had taken everything out of the box, James sat in it. He then asked, "Should I make it an elevator or a spaceship?" I was wanting to work on my kitchen project so I said I don't care, just try to do it all on your own.

I save all my recycled artsy type items in a box under the kids bed. I pulled it out and said anything was ok to use.

His imagination went to town.  I ended up having to help with a glue gun since he is scared to death of glue guns.  Then my older daughter got home from school and she helped even more.

counting "buttons" to get the amount he wanted

He needed air conditioning so I made him a fan.  Then he had to think about it to figure out how to make it work.

Lots of work and fun and we had a super duper space ship with buttons, air conditioning, a lookout hole, a seatbelt and fuel tanks!
buttons made from egg cartons
Look out telescope made from paper towel roll
air conditioning via handmade fan
square boxes make up fuel tanks dots made with a bingo marker (one of our favorite new dollar store finds)
blue crepe paper make a seatbelt.

  7. Howdy! I know this is somewhat off topic but
I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this website?
I'm getting fed up of Wordpress because I've had problems with hackers and I'm looking at alternatives for another platform. I would be awesome if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.
