Final Child Centered Art Party

So I have really enjoyed doing my art party.  I started it because I was new to blogging in this way and wanted to get a community going.  I didn't realize at the time that it was so much work.  I wonder how bloggers who get hundreds of links at their link party do it.  Each week it takes me over an hour to read all the wonderful posts linked up and it takes me an additional 15-20 minutes to write up my post and decide on the ideas I liked best.  I often go back and forth trying to decide which ones to feature.  Although I like doing this, I wonder if I would be better to spend my time on other things.  I also didn't realize at the time that I started my link party that another link party was going on the same day doing the exact same thing.  It's playtime is an awesome link party that takes place on five blogs and always produces lots of links of awesome child centered play and art.  I suggest joining that art party if you don't already.

For now, I am going to put this art party on hiatus.  If I am missing it and want to bring it back I will.  For now I wanted to highlight a few entries from last week and leave it at that.  Thanks to everyone who participated every week.  I really loves seeing all your ideas and it was great to start following so many awesome artistic parents out there.

Last weeks most child centered:

  1. Bummer! I know it is very time consuming to put together a linky party. I hope you find balance to do what's right for you! Thanks for sending everyone over to It's Playtime!

  4. Bummer. I loved your art parties! But I totally understand. I think being a blogger in general is time consuming so I can't even imagine taking on a link party every week. I am so happy to have found your blog and love it so I will still be around often! :)
